Yea i have that …
Yea i have that version of Giazotto’s. i didnt know who he was at first. I guess i just love malmsteen’s version because i love hearing the way he improvises it while keeping the melody, especially live.
Of coarse blues gets credit, but that is the obvious one people usually don’t think about classical music!
January 5th, 2010 at 6:02 pm
no, it’s called …
no, it’s called Adagio by Albinoni, because the story goes that Giazotto found a score in the ruins of a building that was ruined by bombardements during WOII and found the melody there. But that’s just a legend.
I don’t really have the feeling that Malmsteen contributes something extra to the song in his song. I think the classical version is better.
And indeed classical music is great and a huge influence for modern music, but don’t forget a part of the credits to blues…

i dont know who …
i dont know who remo giazotto is but adagio was written by albinoni. I know most of icarus dream suite probably wasnt written by yngwie but how he combines all the different melodies is amazing, neither vai nor satriani has done something like that. maybe im biased because i love classical music… but classical music is the main roots of all the good music now days.
January 5th, 2010 at 6:02 pm
yeah you do know …
yeah you do know that the melody of “icarus Dream Suite Opus. 4″ and actually the whole song i wan’t written wy malmsteen, right?
Look up Adagio in G Minor by Remo Giazotto…
