As we make new jams, I am going to post them on this page. Right Click and choose save file as to download the MP3 fiile. I finally got this nifty little player so that you can listen right from this page that I have implemented in quite a few of them.

Hidden Treasures

This is a tune that I started working on for the Nada Brahama band

Its got some interesting potential I think.  It started as a jam between Tabla, Djembe, Sitar, and Guitar, and then Kevin Ryan overdubbed some bass on it. Then later we overdubbed some pads to give it a little more space.

Ok here is an interesting Jam with Bobo on Drums, and Kevin Ryan on Bass. The whole jam is over an hour long, and started with Kevin fooling around on keyboard. Finally we got him to pick up his bass, and I started recording from that point. This jam goes a lot of different places, there is kind of a weather report vibe, then a sort of dream theater vibe, then it gets real funky, and then Bobo just kind of goes off in a pretty crazy drum solo towards the end.

Even with part of it cut off its still 45 minutes. Not for the faint of heart.

“What Plants Crave”

This was a jam done on 11/3/2010 when kevin scrawled a couple changes on a piece of paper that he had thought of on the way here. You can tell he has been listening to a lot of Tribal Tech. I had to do a couple of obligatory Scott Henderson attitude in there. Next time, maybe a melody would be nice, but we ain’t got no stinkin time for melody, at least not this night.

here it is— what plants crave

10-24-2010 This was me, Kevin Ryan on bass, and Bobo on the drums. Pretty cool Indian Jam.

9/22/2010
This is Matt Webb on the drums, and Kevin Ryan on the bass. A real tour de force of bass techniques. Loads of fun to listen to.

Jam on 9/22/2010

Here’s some rough mixes from Saturday 7-17-2010, plus a bonus jam from 4 days before (on Wednesday with Matt on Drums)

Second Sat Session with Shankh. I am going to call it “Indian Prayer for Peace” I think:

Indian Prayer for Peace

First Sat Session with Bobo:
First Saturday session with Bobo, a little funkier

Wed Session with Matt (This one is much more aggressive, being away from the refining influences of Tabla and Keyboards ) Sorry we boned you on the drum sound Matt, we’ll get it better…

Wed Session with Matt, Steve, and Kevin, a little more harder edged

Heres a couple jams we did with a truly world class keyboardist. Sorry we can’t tell you more, but you know how it is, what with record companies being what they are.

This first one is kind of tentative because we had never played together before or even met, but still has a nice groove and some cool stuff:

First Jam Session 7-10-2010 nice easy groove

Second Jam Session 7-10-2010 more loose, more funky

We had a truly amazing Tabla player come in and play. This one is Steve, Kevin Ryan on bass, and Shankh on the Tabla.
