Mayday Parade – I Swear This Time I Mean It (Acoustic Cover)
Jan 15, 2010 amazing bass solos
Hey guys!
Mayday Parade’s new song is amazing in my opinion, so I decided to cover it. ![]()
I know I might have messed up a little, but well I just had to learn it by listening so forgive me if I didn’t do it any justice. I’ll maybe re-record it if this one isn’t good enough. Let me know if you like it.
Love,
Rod

Lyrics:
Florida Please Be Still Tonight.
Don’t Disturb This Love Of Mine.
But How She’s Oh So Mean,
You’ve Got To Help Me Out.
Count The Stars Before The Rise.
And Find The Words For Saving Time.
I Want To Keep Her Dreaming,
It’s My One Wish, I Won’t Forget This.
Im Out-Dated, Overrated,
Morning Seems So Far Away.
So I’ll Sing The Melody.
And Hope To God She’s Listening,
Sleeping Softly While I Sing,
And I’ll Be In Your Memories.
A Lullaby For All The Times.
Hoping That My Voice Could Get It Right.
If Luck Is On My Side Tonight,
My Clumsy Tongue Will Make It Right.
That Wispy Touch, It Isn’t Much,
But It’s Enough.
To Form Imaginary Lines.
Forget Your Scars And Forget Mine.
![]()
The Hours Change So Fast.
Oh God, Please Make This Last.
Cause Im Out-Dated, Overrated,
Morning Seems So Far Away.
So I’ll Sing The Melody.
And Hope To God She’s Listening,
Sleeping Softly While I Sing,
And I’ll Be In Your Memories.
A Lullaby For All The Times.
Hoping That My Voice Could Get It Right.
You Could Crush Me, But Please Dont Crush Me.
Cause Baby I’m A Dreamer.
For Sure And I Won’t Let You Down,
I Swear This Time I Mean It.
So I’ll Sing The Melody.
And Hope To God She’s Listening,
Sleeping Softly While I Sing,
And I’ll Be In Your Memories.
A Lullaby For All The Times.
Hoping That My Voice Could Get It Right.

LYRICS
i hopped in the van at 6AM, with a dream and my closest friends
welcome to the land of the skinny jeans and the 15 passenger van…
Pullin into a brand new city, I met a kid in a purple deep vee, He said he used to listen to me, everybody seems so creepy. Step out the van and I’m feeling kinda homesick
Too much flourescent and I’m nervous, when the first bands takes the stage sporting Supra Shoes and some fresh tattoos & everything was autotuned!
So I put my pants on they’re a little too tight,
but I think it’s gonna be okay
I’m noddin my head like yeah,
I’m tapping my toes like yeah
It’s not a bad song, but the tracks too loud,
and the drummer doesn’t really play
yeahhhhhh it’s every band in the USA
So we hop on the stage at 9PM, & turns our amps up loud,
They’re like who’s this band playin guitar riffs, they gotta be from outta town… I’m singin’ loud but the crowd is talkin over me, this definitely ain’t a chi-town party. Everybody’s wearing neon, lookin for somebody to creep on.

We huddle up and figure out a cover we can play
I rip a cause I’m nervous. Then I turn to the crowd and ask if they wanna hear a Miley Cyrus song, a Miley Cyrus song, AND EVERYBODY SANG ALONG!
AND SO I PUT MY HANDS UP THEY’RE PLAYIN MY SONG & THE BUTTERFLY’S FLY AWAY
NODDING MY HEAD LIKE YEAH
I’m MOVIN MY HIPS LIKE YEAH
I PUT MY HAND UPS THEY’RE PLAYIN MY SONG
I KNOW I’M GONNA BE OK
YEAH IT’S A PARTY IN THE USA
Glamour Kills won’t sponsor us
& All Time Low won’t tour with us
But something keeps us on the stage,
That Miley Cyrus cover is all the rage!
I PUT MY HAND UPS THEY’RE PLAYIN MY SONG
& THE BUTTERFLIES FLY AWAY
I’M BANGING MY HEAD LIKE YEAH
PLAYIN METAL BEATS LIKE YEEAAAOOOWWW
I PUT MY HAND UPS THEY’RE PLAYIN MY SONG
I KNOW I’M GONNA BE OK
YEAH IT’S A PARTY IN THE USA

All That Remains-The Air That I Breathe (guitar cover)
Dec 19, 2009 guitar solos
I’m playing along with my favorite song by All That Remains: “The Air That I Breathe”. The main solo is pretty difficult, so I touched it up after the initial recording (I couldn’t play perfectly through the whole song in one shot).
You can download my tab for this song from my website:

Blues jam with a Marshall JCM 800 Combo (mod.4210)
Nov 9, 2009 jam videos
Hello.
In this video I do a little blues improvisation with a friends Marshall amp.
It’s a Marshall JCM 800 combo, mod. 4210.
I think this little amp rocks, but It would have been nice if the amp had a little more distortion in it.
But you can always use a distortion/overdrive pedal to get that extra gain.
Anyway, I’m playing over a backing track called “Live With Me BT” or something…
I used a condenser microphone this time – MXL 990.
The guitar is a Gibson Les Paul Standard Desert Burst -05 with Seymour Duncans.
I have only one master volume and one master tone control, the other two works as spin-a-splits, which splits the humbuckers, which you can hear if you listen carefully.
Still don’t know if this is the amp for me, but I like the sound and feel it gives.
Hope you’ll enjoy it!
So long!

All That Remains – Not Alone (guitar cover)
Oct 25, 2009 tapping
I’m playing along with the song “Not Alone” by All That Remains. The solo took me a while to transcribe and get up to speed due to the odd tapping/sliding transitions. You will notice a transition in the video just before the solo. This is because I put two takes together instead of trying to play the song perfectly in one shot. Throughout most of this song there are two distinct guitar parts, and I am only playing one of these parts. For this reason, my recorded guitar may sound a bit different than what you’re accustomed to hearing from the album track. If you pan the album track all the way to the left or right, you will hear these two distinct guitar parts.
I transcribed this song entirely by ear, as all of the existing tabs I could find were atrocious. The tuning is D standard and I playing my ESP KH-2 through a Line 6 POD 2.0. The tab is now available on my website!
