I decided to make this vid after watching all of the so-called legato lessons on youtube (not ALL of them, just all I could stomach). It was a galvanizing experience and my mission was clear: to share with all youtubers what I’ve figured out in the past 14 years about Legato since the inception of my quest. It all started in early 1994 after viewing Garsed’s Masterpiece, “Rock Fusion” video…. I
In Part II, we will go over what you need from your guitar/amp to play legato style. Sorry about the slightly out of tuneness of my guitar; I’m having trouble with the GOTOh tuning heads.

PS sorry for the camera angle on the guitar during the last half. I was using my pedals and it forced me to turn at a different angle. I didn’t notice it until I had already done a lot of work with that particular take on the computer)

Marshall Vintage Amp (1985 model)
Fender Stratocaster (97)
thats it!pls keep in my mind that probably what u hear in this recording or the other vids does not comletely give back what im hearing in my room, actually, sometimes it sounds better on the vids because of compression:)
Licks: I dont really work with licks, got a few in the bag but i like to make em up as I go..tend to be very visual when constructing them.trying new patterns out as I go..reversing em, flippin em whatever:)
Timing: some complained about timing. no excuses, dont need em, but try playin to pc speaker when ur guitar is 3 times as loud as the song ur playing to.had to turn the backing down so that the camera coud capture both the playin and the song.
