The new album Asylum is coming in a few weeks, so i started with the first official single ” Another way to die”.
I learned the solo by watching the uploaded videos of Disturbed. I think everything is like Dan plays it. But I’m not 100% shure about the sweep picking part, because it is so fast that you can hardly define the actual notes. But I think it came out very well. My next cover will be Asylum. Stay tuned!

Hey guys, this is number 2 of 2 new singles released today!

This was the main one I was releasing, but I thought that I might as well release two as people have been complaining about how little videos I’ve been uploading recently.

This song is called “The Unseen” and in D standard tuning as well. Simply because I like that tuning and can’t really be bothered changing it. I do want to add a bit of continuity to my music.

For the solo; people thought that I should add a bit of variation in my solos, so there you have it, I added variation. I think this solo was more of a demonstration of what I can actually do now, as I don’t think my videos are as up-to-date as I think they should be.

I’d actually been working on this song for a while now, I had the intro and main intro riffs as well as the ending part, but I had trouble filling in the blank section. I just played around and managed to fill that blank right in. This song was recorded the exact same way as “Obscurity” was, but I spent more time recording it as I like this one better.

Q: I had read that you love simphonic music, you have a 40 pieces orchestra here in Milan, why this mix between rock music and orchestral music?

A: the band had a kind of influence by the piano and artists such as chopin and rachmaninov so we tried tho take an orchestra to do something different from the past… it’s been amazing

Q: you talk a lot about apocalypse and real problems, your album came out on 9/11… don’t think is a coincidence
A. oh no it’s just a coincidence.. someone thinks about a conspiracy but we are in a different time, the world is different and there was no messages with the album release.

It seems like people like our other Killswitch cover, so we had guitars and amps and stuff so what the here’s another one. This one’s alright. It uses Adam D’s infamous middle C string tapping/hammer/pulloff thing riff with a slightly different variation (slides and stuff).

Guitar on New Born (Origin of Symmetry).

I’m not really satisfied with the rendition, especially since I quite spent the time mastering that legato sequence on the bridge of the song, but I don’t want to make fifteen takes, so …

PRS Guitar goes effect-less into a VOX valvetronix 30W, and then through a SM58 Shure microphone, to the mixing table and finally to the computer. I use Audacity for sound processing and Windows Movie Maker for mixing audio and video.
