Physically, “Fingerstyle” refers to using each of the right hand fingers independently in order to play the multiple parts of a musical arrangement that would normally be played by several band members. Bass, harmonic accompaniment, melody, and percussion can all be played simultaneously when playing Fingerstyle

Very sorry about the long delay of getting a new video up but I’ve recently had to deal with the deadly tendinitis on my right arm. I am just now getting over it and decided to put this song up in memory of when I first arrived in Canada in 2003.
This was the first song I wrote for the classical guitar after 3 years of playing. I was in a place where everything didn’t feel right in my new home here in Canada after being deported from America (read bio for more info on that). I quickly knew that I had to adapt myself yet again, and now I love it here! This piece has stuck with me ever since the beginning and after a few changes from the original version here is the latest.
This song is played on a Cole Clark FL2AC and is recorded with both a Rode NT4 mic plus the Face Brace sensor inside the guitar for a natural acoustic sound. Check those beauties out!

Song Description:
“The Climb” is a song performed by American recording artist and actress Miley Cyrus, for the 2009 film Hannah Montana: The Movie. The song was written by Jessi Alexander and Jon Mabe, and produced by John Shanks. It was released on March 5, 2009, as the lead single of the film’s soundtrack by Walt Disney Records. The song is a power ballad with lyrics that describe life as a difficult but rewarding journey. It is styled as a country pop ballad, and was Cyrus’ first solo song to be released to country radio. The instrumentation includes piano, guitar and violins.
“The Climb” was generally well received by critics and was nominated for the Best Song Written for a Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media at the 52nd Grammy Awards. However, the song was withdrawn from consideration by Walt Disney Records because it had not been written specifically for a movie as the category’s eligibility rules required. The song achieved worldwide success and became a top ten hit on charts in Australia, Canada, Norway and the United States.
